Septic Systems

Septic/OWTS systems regulations have become more strict often requiring imported sand absorption fields.

Septic system designs consider cost of, tanks, absorption field.

Absorption fields  for septic systems include infiltrators and traditional perforated pipe fields (below)

Schedule 40 PVC is the preference for both solid and perforated piping. Changing between piping types is a problem for the fittings.

Infiltrators can save space and can be traffic rated.

Precast tanks are often delivered and set in place by the tank supplier with a truck mounted crane.

Precast concrete tanks are very common for new construction, and can be rated for parking lot installations (traffic rated), but are expensive and heavy. Plastic tanks are often used for repair and retrofit applications, are lighter and less expensive.
